Super Intelligence?

yes probley posted and super late..

The Big Switch to

SUPER

INTELGINCE

According to Newsweek,
President Donald Trump recently signed a new pact with tech leaders to officially  rename artificial intelligence (AI) to “**super ** intelligence”. Trump stated that the old name made the technology sound fake,Its artificial after all.. which he feels is wrong. [1, 2, 3]

However, the official paper had a funny mistake. Instead of saying “United States,” the text wrote “Unites States” right near the signature. People online joked that even with all the smart tech geniuses in the room, it took a human eye to miss—or make—a basic typo :ai_post:. [1, 2]

Heard about this. Trump loves renaming things :joy:

Are devs actually calling it “SI” instead of “AI”?

Lately, there’s been a quiet shift in how some developers and tech companies talk about artificial intelligence.
Instead of using the blanket term AI, more people are starting to use SI—Synthetic/Super Intelligence.

But is this just another marketing buzzword, or does it actually mean something different?

For many devs, the shift is about accuracy. “Artificial” implies something fake or an imitation of human thought. “Synthetic,” on the other hand, implies something real that was manufactured—like synthetic diamonds or synthetic fabrics. The intelligence itself is functioning; it just didn’t evolve biologically.

i also seeing companies use it to differentiate their engineering. While “AI” has become a massive marketing catch-all for everything from basic algorithms to advanced chatbots, “SI” is being carved out to describe systems that show genuine complex reasoning, autonomy, and data syntheis.

Are you noticing this around in your codebases, conversation/tech circles?

Or is AI too deeply embedded in the culture to ever be replaced?

This was written by AI and not SI clearly
