Just wondering why nobody has mentioned this phone, if they deliver on their claims it would be quite impressive.
Still has a web browser. I’m getting one, though, to see if I can install eGate on it. The $129 price is quite agressive.
Looks great for its price, but its screen is too small.
Does it have more of a modern Quin/Tiq look, or the more classical Nokia/dumbphone look?
Did you receive it yet?
It looks too much like a house phone…
?!?!
The phone hasn’t been released yet
I thought so too but then I saw this message
Sidephone is entering production and we are accepting orders for our first 1000 devices.
As one of the project's earliest supporters, we would like to offer you the first opportunity to experience a Sidephone.
To give everyone a fair chance at making a purchase, we have limited access to Sidephone's product page.
Below is a link that will give you access to Sidephone's product page until Friday October 17th at 11:59PM EST.

Important
The first 1000 phones that we are producing will be tuned to US / North America frequency bands. This allows the team in Toronto, Canada and New York to verify the device’s performance before expanding shipments to the rest of the world in 2026.
To order Sidephone at this stage in the project, you must have a shipping address in the continental US. Orders are limited to 2 phones per person.
Why are we only making 1000 phones? +
Our plan is to release a limited batch of carefully crafted devices, get them into the community's hands, and work with everyone to make it better before we scale up production in 2026.
What happens if I'm outside the US? +
Sidephone will soon be available for you to purchase. Join us at our Reddit community (reddit.com/r/Sidephone) to see how the project develops, be the first to see new tiles and cases, and get involved with what the phone looks like. We’d love for everyone to have a hand in shaping what the phone becomes.
What applications does Sidephone support? +
We will provide a complete list soon. For an app to work on Sidephone it must have been designed by the developer to work on a 2.8in screen, and not require Google integrity checks or similar. We do not recommend using banking apps on Sidephone. If you require apps for medical purposes (CGMs or similar) Sidephone might not be a good fit at this time.
Where can I learn more about the project? +
We've wrote an in-depth write up on Reddit that may provide a bit more information behind what we're building and why. You may access it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sidephone/comments/1nx4stz/what_is_a_sidephone/
Got this email this morning, so of course I ordered it.
Won’t work on verizon.
