Does J-Tech have or plan to have an API?
Maybe before asking this, do a little Googling about Discourse, what it supports, what options do third party plugins give, etc.

Discourse has a built-in API. Do a search for Discourse API.
Correct me if i’m wrong but it seems api endpoints (almost all of them at least) require api key which only admins can set up
