Why don’t you just use my idea. Make an html and js website and use a free supabase table with the feed and make an admin page and setup rls to anon can select (meaning a non logged in user can view) and authenticated can edit add or delete
Why would I build something from scratch when I could use a framework that can easily support Markdown, tagging, social & offsite embeds, and any other features I’d want it to have?
Markdown is a simple import in python

Fine so use python and an SQLite DB file and host on pythonanywhere or render or replit

Because its easier and customizable

I like Linux, but I don’t do Linux From Scratch.
Ubuntu worked perfectly for me, without any tinkering.
I then had the freedom to customize it however much I wanted to, or leave it as is.
How’s it easier?
These templates are customizable enough for me.
I’m not looking for it to be something extremely original that will blow your mind.
Just a nice, blog style site, with the features I want.

Except that it doesn’t work.
And it doesn’t look like a blog site.
And any features I want I’ll have to spend time building.
I just want to get this up quickly, without too much work.

Give me another 3 minutes and it will be production ready
