I did not have any issues with that, what phone would you be using the app on? And you mean the sound turns off for messaging and incoming calls?
I’m using it on the Kyocera DuraXV extreme 4810, and yes it doesn’t ring or vibrate when you get a call.

Are there any known apps that accidentally disable T9 on the S2720?
I installed a few apps, and now the menu button to choose between T9 and symbol numbers is gone.
The only apps I can think of are either Button Mapper or Voice Access that i installed.
