it actually works pretty well now after all my testing if anyone wants to test it on a VM to try getting past it
Use the desktop shortcuts to start the filter and start the kiosk mode after installing it

Why couldn’t u just keep it simple and just put the screen on and disable any keyboard or mouse connection, and edit everything in the backend on a different computer or remote desktop?

I can but its bad wifi connection so anydesk is not reliable

Its extremely restrictive - locking down everything including keystrokes

A kiosk for a specific service, with only his own website shown. He needs access to explorer though to upload stuff to his site.
Current stack is a bunch of group policies with EntraID domain.
(I wasn’t the one setting it up, he came to me recently.)

or you can just disable keyboard and mouse connections, and edit everything via remote desktop like @ADBochur suggested

Its a touch screen, and interactive.

Does it have a UI input for the allowed web address, or hardcoded?

Yes, on initial setup and there is a shortcut on the desktop to change it after entering the password

He just needs to pause the filter to open file explorer and then resume to continue

User comes in, goes to kiosk, put his USB in, upload files to the website, and orders print etc..
So explorer should be accessible.
