Hey all, I took some inspiration from vMouse2 and created a new mouse. I didn’t care for the controls and changed the logic a bit. More information is here. It has working drag and drop functionality. From the testing I did it seems great! One thing I would request is to make a second way to toggle off the mouse, by pressing the end button. It is something the vMouse had and I think it makes a lot of sense, because if someone is trying to get to the home screen he doesn’t really have a use of the mouse at that moment. ---

I haven’t experienced that yet, do you find that it toggles the star key shortcut? I contemplated making the hold time longer but didn’t want to annoy users that use the contacts often. ---

Yes I had a feeling vmouse users would miss that. It is super easy to have. I am thinking the next version will have a settings file where you can change some of the defaults. I think with that and some horizontal scrolling it will be ready for a release. 🙂 ---

Another thing is when typing with t9 with the mouse on you cant switch between words because the dpad is being used. I am using traditional t9. ---

I do not know because i reset that key to be able to be an extra key to use with button mapper but with vmouse i was able to open a different app using button mapper but that doesn’t work with this one also can you make it press to turn off and hold to turn on ---

I personally like the fact that you don’t have to hold down to turn it on. Maybe @Tboni can make an option in settings to select how you want to toggle, by pressing or by holding down. ---

Ah that helps, I can test the function with button mapper. Is your button remapping set to click, double click, or long hold? I will consider adding hold to activate as an option, this was an intentional design decision though. ---

I agree, if someone knows how I could detect if that menu was open then we could temporarily disable the mouse. I’ll investigate ---

That makes sense why it wouldn’t work, FlipMouse emulates a single click after holding the toggle key for a set amount of time. It should work if you remap messages to a single click in button mapper. I will put it on the improvements list. ---

I would rather the open messages key be double press favorites otherwise it opens when i do not want it to. the biggest problem i had with vmouse is that the hold for left click doesn’t always work well across all apps and the 3 for left click if i accidentally pressed it i had to restart the phone because the mouse would stop working would you be able to fix that? ---

@anonymousfliphones I have not had the time to improve the mouse further. It has fulfilled my needs so far. Sorry I don’t have better news. I’m hoping some other devs can help pick the project up. ---

Please give us more info are you on the TCL flip 2? Are you rooted? If yes to both, install by opening Magisk and press install module and then click on this file. ---
