when and why does Safe mode turn on i sometimes turn on my fig (after fully being powerd down) and it turns on to safe mode why does this happen?
Safe mode is turned on by pressing/holding certain buttons when the phone powers on

What is the difference between autobooter and mtk client
autobooter is a program that you run on a computer when your phone is connected which makes the phone enter fastboot mode. You then use typical fastboot commands to flash partitions or unlock the bootloader
mtk client is a tool that speaks to a lower level and runs in preloader mode and can do more stuff where fastboot can’t (including backing up partitions)

What prevents someone from taking any kosher phone and using mtkclient to pull the firmware and add apps? @ars18 ?
If they do it properly they block it. Also, probably cheaper to get a non kosher phone if you want apps

How can you “block” it??
Certain phones have it blocked already. And these things are possible to do just expensive
My question is how they can prevent it at all - i didnt realize it was even possible.
Messing with the hardware? Making the usb port not work for any data transfer, just electricity?
Probably software - something in the preloader to block it connecting, or that will brick it if you change the firmware
Wow they mess with the preloader? Find that hard to believe

Look at the f30. I think in the beginning they left that open and someone was able to pull the entire ROM including the bands.
Once they realized this they blocked that method as well.

Depends which phone, but nothing is preventing you from doing that on many. Lower tier “kosher”.
Can be blocked with enough know how and access obviously.

Not fig, no. I’m not up to date on the new 24six devices.
Well the newest one uses mag charging which is actually a great move because it removes every last posibility of hacking it
